Pedigree Dogs

Pure breed dogs are more in-bred and hence some breeds are more susceptible to genetic diseases.

DNA profiling is also required to confirm pedigree, help reduce in-breeding and maintain the integrity of official registries.

Participation in other schemes and programs are recommended but not compulsory.
